Finland's Neste posts 38% profit increase

Finland-based energy company Neste has posted a 38% increase in year-on-year profits at its renewables division on the back of higher sales volumes arising from increased utilization rate. The company posted third quarter profits of EUR 171 million versus EUR 124 million in Q3 2016. European sales volumes accounted for 73% versus 27% in North America and the share of waste and residue feedstock was 77% of total renewable inputs.
